Too many bridesmaids?

I got married 10 days ago and I had 10 bridesmaids and 2 page boys so don’t worry. For gifts I bought the bridesmaid a personalised robe each and an initial bracelet.

If it is what you want then do it. There is no rule, it is your day so have what you want. I originally was having one big and one small BM, I know have 2 adult, 3 young and a flower girl as I wanted all the little ones who are coming to the wedding to be involved. You could look at having 2 colours or different shades of your colour theme of dresses so it evens it out a bit and wont be a sea of one colour. or 4 in one style and 4 in another just to give a bit more pop for your photos. It won't look silly, go with what you want XX

Meant to say, regards costs, you need to decide from the outset if you are paying for everything. I have said I will pay for dress and hair and make up, but that is quite a chunk of money with just 2 adult BMs, so research before hand what potential cost is, as at approx. £75 each you are looking at £600 ish just for hair and make up. I don't think it is unreasonable for you to ask them to either do their own hair and make up or if they want an MUA and hairdresser for them to pay. I have said they can wear their own shoes as long as they are silver, and they both have some comfy ones already so are happy with that. For gifts, we are getting them a bottle of their fave Gin and a Gin glass with decal of their role and the date

View quoted message Yeah I've got two shades of pink for the dresses! I've bought the dresses, I managed to get them all when Debenhams shut down so saved on that. And they're paying their hair and make up. Gifts il get a robe and slippers I think or maybe a robe and a personalised glass.
