Topiary Trees - hire/buy - HELP!!

**Shelley**, 10 March, 2012 at 09:59 Posted on Planning 0 22

?

I have been looking to either hire or buy 4 good artificial topiary trees but cannot find anything I like. ? They would have to be 4ft in height. I don't mind if they are rose ones (but would have to be ivory in colour) or the regular "ball" shape ones. ?

Can anyone recommend a hire company or a HIB or store that they have used where prices are good? I'm in Kent but have family in Surrey and Essex so can collect from anywhere.

If there are any HIBs who can make these or have these for hire, please contact me.

Thanks all!

?

If you have the time & are crafty, make them yourself then you get exactly what you want. Not sure of the exact style you want, but this is what I'd do:

Buy terracotta pots from a gardening shop, poundland, asda, then fill with cement or plaster of paris, leaving a stick, broom handle etc in the centre while it sets. You can buy polystyrene balls from hobbycraft. Attach this to the top of the stick, then decorate with ribbons around the stick, & rose heads or whatever on the ball. You can cover the cement with bark pieces, moss, ivy etc. You can buy lots of bits on ebay also.

Have no idea about hiring or buying such things though, sorry.

I also found these but am sure you've already looked at plant hire companies? The 1st one has a min of 6 plants though to hire.

Have you got a matalan near you, they have some great bay trees there for £20 each, not sure how tall they are but they look really realistic ?

Subtle... Might I suggest you read the t&c's on this site. You have to register as a supplier before you can advertise.. don't try and tell me you aren't because it's too blatent.
