Town hall wedding and reception advice

Hannah, 8 November, 2022 at 14:47 Posted on Planning 0 2
Hi Smiley smile me and my fiancé are looking to marry soon, but I’m the current climate we can’t afford to spend too much (nor do we want to!) we were hoping for a town hall ceremony somewhere like Marylebone and then a reception after. Does anyone have any suggestions for nice venues which won’t break the bank and will still allow for a lovely time with family and friends? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Have a look on the venue search tool on Hitched, you can put in budget, location, guest number etc and it will find venues on your range. For a real small budget, you could see if there are some nice community halls around your area, you can then DIY decorate and cater, or hire a caterer in if there is facilities to do so, you can normally hire these fairly cheaply, but it is a lot fo work to do it yourself, but may be an option if you have friends/family who will pitch in. this is how I did my first wedding, some also have cash bars in them so you don't need to worry about that, or you do a massive cash and carry run and provide the drinks

We looked at Marylebone - it's gorgous! Richmond Town Hall is beautiful as well. There's a lot of really beautiful ones in London.
