tui Wedding - Spain

Sophie, 2 August, 2025 at 13:13 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 12
Hi all,

New bride to be! Me and my partner have always been set on having an abroad wedding and think we have finally settled on Spain!
We have been in talks with TUI to discuss potentially doing a wedding package with them. Has anyone had any experience of booking their wedding through TUI? Or having a hotel wedding abroad?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Hello Sophie,

First of all congrats on your engagement! I haven't heard of TUI, but if you decide to plan a wedding abroad, you should consider hiring a wedding & travel specialist to avoid any glitches you could face during the planning journey. I know a person who speaks spanish, based in rome, who can help you out with everything (she helped us a lot with our tours).

    Feel free to contact me!

    xx

    Hi Sophie

Congratulations fellow bride, please look into this as we wanted to get married in Spain and unless you are a resident or have lived there for two years you cant get married there, i know this because my mum lives there.

If you have a registry office in England then you can have a blessing in Spain, we almost decided on Gibralta as its not far from my mum and they have no residency restrictions, many elope, but we decided it was too expensive to get the rest of the family there.

We booked our wedding in Spain through TUI, and everything went really smoothly, the coordinators handled most of the details, making it a stress-free and beautiful experience!

Congratulations Sophie! A destination wedding sounds amazing, Spain is a lovely choice. Even if you end up doing the legal ceremony at home and just a blessing abroad, it can still be an unforgettable experience. We actually did a small ceremony locally and then treated ourselves to a luxury honeymoon, and Dubai was a big highlight — especially visiting the Burj Khalifa. If you ever plan something like that, BurjTicket made booking really easy. Wishing you the best with your plans!

Congratulations Sophie, Spain sounds like a beautiful choice for a destination wedding. One thing I really enjoyed when helping with a small family wedding abroad was focusing on the little details that make the experience feel personal, not just the big planning. We placed sachet fragrance in welcome bags and even tucked a few into wardrobes and suitcases, and it honestly added such a comforting, romantic touch to the whole trip. Those subtle scents ended up becoming one of the strongest memories from the wedding week. Wishing you a smooth planning journey and an unforgettable celebration.
