Two Maids of Honour?

I had the same issue so I have 2! I chatted with them and said that I want them both to be part of the day and that they can then share duties, luckily they both get on and understand. to be honest the title doesn't matter, they are just happy to be part of it and work together to support me. I am sure both your friends will be fine with it and happy to help out

I'm sure they will be fine with it, but to make the people not chosen feel more included, why not make sure they have a particular job either before or on the day? When you speak to them, perhaps do it along the lines of, I didn't choose you for MoH because I think your strengths are (for example) hosting and bringing people together, and I'd rather you spent your time making sure the guests are enjoying themselves rather than doing X or Y...

I have also chosen 6 bridesmaids. I’ve chosen my sister as official maid of honour, however, she’s currently four hours away, finishing her last year of uni. So one of my other friends who is more local and I see more often, is sharing duties.

I had the same issue. I have a friend who i've known since i was little, one since college who's been through everything. They've breifly met but they both have very different personalities. I bit the bullet and asked both. I was relieved as they both are very excited and exchanging messages so i have no doubt they will be the best.
