Universal contour wraps...

Pearly81, 18 June, 2008 at 09:20 Posted on Planning 0 5

....whos had one and do they ACTUALLY work?

The reason I ask is that I called a couple of places yesterday, one salon told me they didnt have the universal ones, but a very similar one, and that actually they are a waste of time -apparently if I was having it for say a wedding (which I am) by the time Ive had 2 glasses of champagne I will have put the lost inches back on because it is only water lost ?

Boo, there goes my hopes for a quick fix nearer the time !

Slightly scared I have just over 2 months (will be 2 mths monday) and wanted to lose another half a stone, just doesnt seem to be happening!

Hi, I have had universal wraps before

I had one in Feb before I went on hols, you dont loose weight as such but loose fluid, I lost inches and clothes felt bit looser, it should last for 30 days after it as long as you dont go mad with loads of food during that time.

I will def be having one before my wedding as it does make you feel better, your skin is detoxed and so soft so makes you feel better and more confident.

You can have course of 3 within 7 days of each other and that is suppose to be more permanent but obviously expensive and time consuming when close to wedding and have million and one things to do.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi nicky,

so would you say that having just one -the day before the wedding, will make a difference? Or do I need to have more than one?

sorry, I realise you replied ages ago, but have only just remembered to search for the reply!

Hi, to be honest I have never had a set of 3 as too expensive but that is what they recommend when you go have one

I do notice the difference from just having one though and feel lovely as skin is really clean and soft.

If you do have one, try and have it at least 10 days before the wedding as for the 7 days after it you need to drink loads of water and no alcohol and be healthy with the food as the clay carries on working and can mean you loose more.

If you go on this website tells you all about it and shows salons in your area who do it

Let me know how you get on if you have one

hi.. I am having the first of a course of 3 wraps on thursday... I had a friend who had one done and lost 11.5 inches on her first wrap... I was advised to space them out with 10days between each wrap... drink lots of water.. no alcohol or caffeine.. I will let you know how I get on... my wedding is 26th july.. so after thursday... I'm on a mission... my friend also said her upper arms were left looking and feeling more toned.. that people commented... wearing a strapless dress as I am.. that has to be worth it!! x

My Aunt has the last of three wraps next week. Said it definately works - they measure you all over, so you can tell how much you lose. She lost 9 inches altogether and really I wouldn't have thought that possible previously, as she always looks such a skinny minny. She also said the effect on her arms was very noticeable.

A tip though, have another treatment while you are wrapped to help pass the time - she said it's really dull! I'm having my nails done while I wait, she had her eyebrows waxed one time and a facial the next.

The salon near me does one for £50, or three for £135. Maybe ill just have one 10 days before, havent really got the excess money too spend £135 at the mo.
