Unusual? Kittens have brown eyes

What breed are they? I've never heard of it before, but I only have experience of mogs.

They are mogs..I think! They are rescue kittens born to a stray cat in someones garage and then handed in to a cat charity.

I think they might have siamese in them looks wise and they are very vocal and clever(read sneaky ?). I have googled and cant find anything on cats with brown eyes.

I used to have 2 moggies (both black) and they had brown/amber eyes. I never really thought anything of it except that they were beautiful.

The ones I have now (9 weeks) have grey eyes but if their mother is anything to go by, they'll change to bright green before long! ?

I will post photos tonight to show and see what you make of it, there is no amber at all..just conker brown eyes.

My kittens eyes are also brown, although amber in certain lights. I think it's because they are brown tabs, that the eyes look browner than they would on other fur. Mine are half bengal, half bsh

Our kittens had blue eyes.

I think all kittens are born with blue eyes and then they start to change around 8 weeks or so? They can stay blue or change in to green, yellow,grey, amber and sometimes orange. And I guess sometimes brown!

Sorry, I have spent the evening chasing the little buggers around trying to take photos of them! The result is mixed to say the least..some chopped off ears in the photos etc and the eye colour does not seem to look as dark with the flash! Here they are anyway:

Red eyes, yes..they are so frigging naughty they were bound to be Basement Kittehs!

The eyecolour came out lighter in the photos, it looks dark brown IRL! Maybe it is changing in to yellow?

My kitten has light brown eyes. All my other cats have had green or yellow eyes.

Extensive googling says that apparently all shades of brown are very rare in cats eyes! ?

I'm loving all the kittehs ? Exceedingly cute.
