P.s. GM is a doctor. She has a PhD. She is not a 'medical doctor' however ...
Doctor comes from the latin 'doceo' which means 'to teach' - the degree confers the right for the individual to teach others in a formal setting i.e. a university.
A medical doctor by contrast has not reached the highest level in academia but is allowed to use 'doctor' in an honorific way (to reflect the status that is commonly accorded to the medical profession).
I set up the account because nutella was clearly becoming agitated and wasn't willing to 'play ball' any longer (she didn't post my last message thanking her! lol)
Gillian McKeith has a dodgy PhD from a non-accredited college/university that was located in Alabama (she studied by distance learning), it was called the American Holistic College of Nutrition. It is now closed (no surprise there).
She is now not able to be referred to as Dr Gillian McKeith.
I am doing the PhD full time but I do consulting and other activities in my own time. It's amazng what can be done if one manages their time effectively!
Gillian McKeith does NOT have a PhD from an accredited institute. To suggest she is a PhD is offensive to those who genuinely are. She's not even allowed to call herself a doctor in a public forum.
All that's being asked is for an explanation as to how 5 degrees fit into 8/9 years. If you've done them, you shouldn't have a problem simply listing the dates...
I'm 25 and in the first year of my MBA (being studied via Open University Business School, I get one day study leave per week from work for my study, which is a Friday), and I'm amazed that someone just 2-3 years older than me is undertaking a PhD in Management.
You mean to say that, along with studying for your 5 degrees, updating your website and selling of naff numberplates you don't have time to spare to post on our forum? ?
I never understand MSc degrees. To get my MSc I have to complete 180 credits at Level 7. To do this all in 1 year is impossible. In fact, my uni states that it must take a minimum of 3 years. (PS 60 credits of this must be a dissertation)
Are other unis less strict about how hard you have to work?!
