Vegas wedding and apostille

We’ve just booked our Vegas wedding and obviously the list of extras comes up at time of booking. One thing it mentions is the apostille service. I’ve googled but can’t seem to find the answer. Do we need this?

Hello Shona!
I believe it's just an extra layer of security to prove your marriage is genuine. If your life doesn't want any rigorous checking then I don't see why you'd need it!
Congratulations on your choice of wedding though! Vegas is the best place in the world!
