Veil - under or over hair?

lotte_, 18 April, 2012 at 13:23 Posted on Planning 0 2

I'm having my hair up like this for my wedding. I didn't have my veil when I had my trial so I'm not really sure what to do with it. My hair will be pinned up at the back with a clip and I'll probably let it down in the evening so it won't be too structured.

I think veil underneath hair looks a bit weird but is it normal to have your hair covered during the ceremony??

I'd say veil over the hair as it will hold the veil in place better. The veils are so sheer you will still see your style through it (you could with my SIL anyhow)!

    Hope this helps Smiley smile

I agree, i think the veil underneath wouldnt look right. I think they are best on a high bun. If the veil sits over you can just whip it our after the photos etc....

I think veil over your hair. You should be able to see through it.

my cousin got married and had hers under her hair and, in my opinion, it looked daft.
