Venue

Brogan, 20 March, 2024 at 18:22 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hi everyone
I’m really struggling to find my dream venue
We have got roughly 250 day guests and will possibly expand to 300 with evening guests , ideally would want the majority of us staying under 1 roof. I’m open to places with around 100 rooms or more and I will find an alternative accommodation. I live in Cheshire but willing to travel (no more than 4 hours, unless I love it)
Is they anyone out there that can point me in the direction for a venue with most of the above
Tia. Brogan. X

What kind of venue are you looking for? Have you tried using the search & filters on Hitched?

Some of the biggest venues I can think of in Cheshire: Crewe Hall, Rookery Hall, Soughton Hall, The Vicarage in Knutsford, Grosvenor in Chester. I’m sure there’s loads of others, just there the biggest hotels/wedding venues I can think of off the top of my head Smiley smile

Hi, thanks for your response, I’m after a spa and resort hotel, something like Carden park (they won’t accommodate us on our preferred dates 😔)
There’s some beautiful places around me but there not the vibe that we are after .. they all seem to be estates and Manor House’s which a lot don’t have guest accommodation
Thank you for your reply xx

Crewe Hall & Rookery Hall are both spas & resort hotels.
There’s also Mottram Hall, the Mere Hotel (not Mere Court but the Golf/Spa place), Shrigley Hall & there’s a Macdonald one out near Whitchurch way. A couple of friends love Hoar Cross Hall down in Staffordshire & I think that’s quite big.

Hope you find the perfect place! 🤞

Hi Brogan, it sounds like you’re looking for a spacious and elegant venue that can comfortably host your large guest list while offering plenty of on-site accommodation. You might want to explore country estates, luxury hotels, or converted barns with at least 100 rooms, such as venues around the Lake District, Yorkshire, or even the Cotswolds—all within a few hours from Cheshire. Many of these venues provide exclusive-use options so your guests can stay under one roof and enjoy a seamless experience. Just like finding a reliable deck waterproofing contractor who ensures long-lasting quality and attention to detail, choosing the right venue is about trust, comfort, and ensuring everything holds up beautifully on your big day.
