Venue booked in South West France - band needed!

Hi Lisa!

Can't be of any help I'm afraid but was wondering if you could advise me who you used as your wedding planner and what your budget is? We have our hearts set on getting married in the south west of France as my parents live there however we have a relatively modest budget and the planners I've found online all appear to cater for luxury weddings.

Ant advice you could offer would be much appreciated.

We are getting married in SW France in September. Our venue recommended a band called Hicksville Swing. They are playing acoustic music for the ceremony, a strolling set for the drinks reception and 2 sets in the evening. http://www.georgesmithmusik.com/

They can play as a 2,3 or 4 piece

Some of the wedding planners i found in the early days were so rude and expensive and never came back quick enough, Jenny has been my rock since I have been somewhat of a bridezilla, have a chat with her and say that Lisa recommended her haha.

Hello. We have also booked a lovely mill in that part of France, and ironically our planner is also called Jenny. What one are you marrying at Lisa as interested to hear your views on how things have gone. We've only just booked up for 2015 and Jenny has been wonderful and so so helpful.

Can you share any tips with us please, and maybe let me know if it is the same place. The place we have booked is a Mill in Annepont called le petit moulin.

Hi Ciara, OMG yes it's the same place, did you meet Jenny, isn't she amazing and so so honest, she has been like this throughout the planning process and has saved me heaps of money. We have just 42 days to go and I can't tell you how excited I am.

So my tips.....use the florist she recommends, what a great lady she is. Get all your guests booked into the same place instead of all over the place. We are using the French photographer she recommended to us, we met up with him when we came over for a planning trip, great guy and he showed me loads of the photos he took recently - dead excited about that.

Have you chosen the band yet? We are massively into our music and chose an amazing band from England to come and play, Jen has loads of contacts in the industry for that.

We have loads of kids coming so the florist is doing us a sweet table in the marquee.

Our theme is bohemian vintage and Jen and the florist have helped compile everything for us here.
