Hi… a dilemma. Our venue hire has increased £500 since we saw it last week. Do you think it’s acceptable to try and reason for the price we were quoted when we saw it? It’s what’s on the brochure we were sent when we first wanted info on the venue but when we reserved our date today the price has gone up… thoughts?

How far away is your wedding date? I know my venue had a clause in the contract that weddings over 12 months away could be subject to price increases.
It could be worth sending them a polite email to query it though

I would ask and see if you can get the price originally quoted. No harm in asking, they may say no, but you never know they might say yes
