Venue or guest list first?

I’d say find a venue. You can always make a rough draft of the guest list and edit it as you go at the same time.
I’m thinking venue though just incase you fall in love with somewhere that only allows say 50 people and you’ve already done the list and have 75. Would then be added stress and pressure to cut it. Least if you know your hungers before deciding on everyone, then you know your have everyone you really want on it and not just guests who you’ve met once etc.

We managed to get a really good deal due the venue being shut for so long during covid, that they were happy to lower the price (we’ve got nearly 50% off the normal price). Because we went for a Sunday and a date available which was this year they were happy for us to do it. Rather make some money then none at all.
We were really cheeky and asked if they could do deals/offers 🤣 Good luck

Definitely venue first. You can adjust numbers if necessary right up until a month or two before the day (at least you can with my venue) x

I think we are just not sure how small of a wedding we would like as I am happy with 60 guests (day/night) but my partner is preferring 35 day the rest on the night so I think that’s why we are struggling with a venue a little more as some venues have a minimum of 60 when looking at certain ones or we have found a lovey one but for a intimate wedding it’s only 45 maximum then if you do the same venue but larger package it’s a extra £3-4K
