Venue responses

Anyone else having a very slow time of finding a venue due to venues not responding?
It’s very frustrating as the ones I think are most suitable are the ones I’m desperate to hear back from, I’ve messaged through here as well as gone through their websites and emails and still it’s been weeks. I’m not being picky with dates or anything.
Has anyone had to give up and just go with whoever has replied even if it meant going over budget?
