See what they offer, I would then counter it back at 50% higher than the offer and go from there. that said be mindful money is never going to cover the stress etc, you also need to weigh up what measures they have put in place to ensure you are able to access the areas of the venue you intended to use unhindered and the realistic impact. for example, are the cabins being on the perimeter going to impact your photo's? I suspect the scaffolding will and that is a big consideration they need to take in to account but if there are alternative areas to still get photos, they will likely say they can provide an area and the works will not impact. it is a hard one as they are not in breach of contract (unless there are clauses about remedial works, I would stress the fact they had not told you in advance) but they are not fully able to deliver the site as you expected. Try not to get angry and don't bring emotions in to is as in law there is no cost that can reasonably associated with stress and upset as this is subjective and personal, any offer would be a nominal goodwill gesture. Be pragmatic, write down all your concerns and ask them what they propose to do to ensure you have the experience of the venue you paid for and stick to the facts. I have shot weddings at venues similar to yours but I usually find that most of the works can be avoided in the photos with a few different angles and any scaffolding still left in the shot gets removed with some photoshop.

That wont help how it looks to your eyes but it can be mitigated in the photographs. Have a word with your photographer and ask what they can do.
