We booked our venue 2.5 years ago and the big day is just around the corner (11 days away). We visited a few months ago to find the building was covered in scaffolding and black temporary buildings /porta-cabins were erected around the perimeter.
The venue thought they would be gone by the time the wedding came around but further work is required and they will still be there in 11 days.
As this is not the outside we wanted for our guests, ourselves, or our photographs - we feel that we are owed a partial refund on our final bill from the venue.
How much would be reasonable to request for this (either an amount or a percentage)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
