Newbie here! OH and I got engaged a little before Christmas and have been starting to look at venues over the holidays.
The trouble we're having is that we have fallen in love with Tunnels Beaches, which seems like the most incredible venue, but unfortunately our numbers are around 150 and Tunnels Beaches can only accommodate 80 during the day and 120 in the evening. OH would like to prioritise people over venue, which I agree with, but we were just wondering if anyone could suggest anything similar? We particularly love the relaxed vibe, the beautiful location (although it doesn't have to be by the sea), and the chilled out gourmet bbq rather than three course sit down meal. We have thought about Polhawn Fort but by the time you include staff in the numbers it doesn't work out much better.
We have connections to Devon, Somerset, London, Surrey and Wiltshire, so are basically looking anywhere across the south of the UK, although we would like to avoid Cornwall unless the location is really spectacular so that people don't have to travel that far.
I suspect Tunnels is probably unique and that we are fighting a losing battle, but I just thought I'd check!
