Videographers - Cheshire

Becky, 21 February, 2023 at 16:14 Posted on Planning 0 6
Hi, I know there are quite a few recommended videographers listed on here - but just interested to know if anyone has found a videographer below £1500? I fully appreciate the cost of their work, however, I have gone with a very expensive photographer before deciding I also want a videographer - and now my budget is a bit tight. Most coming back to me are looking £2-3k.

£1500 is usually low for a videographer and it all depends on what you need, of you are asking for 2 videographers, 8hrs of filming, drone footage etc and the quality to match your highly paid photographer this can all add up.

Does your wedding photographer not have anyone he has worked with that can help with video?

Yeah, I didn’t realise how much the “going rate was” until now. I probably should have looked before booking my photographer as quite a few do joint packages which seem really good! My photographer doesn’t offer videography unfortunately - they have recommended some but all around the £2,500-3000 mark. Might just have to take the hit on this one 😂

Hi Becky, if you like send me your details, I'm a Manchester Wedding Photographer myself and just recently got into wedding video, so I might have something or find ways to help you.

I have a business profile on here but it does not seem to let me use the forums for some reason.

But more than happy to see where I or anyone I know can help.

Have you spoken with your photographer to ask if they have anyone they have worked with previously? They may work with someone and confirm an extra price through you as they would be hiring someone. Just a thought, good luck!

If your photographer is as you say a very expensive one then they probably have only come across video people in the same price bracket / quality/ experience as themselves - hence their high price recommendations.

Yes for some it is advantageous to join up to provide a photo/vid package that can be cheaper than just one good experienced professional photographer on their own. Couples need to satisfy for themselves that those joint packages are the same quality/ experienced suppliers as the single more expensive options.

I don't think your photographer would supply a vid person through them as that would mean that the photographer is liable for the vid should anything go wrong.

We have booked Perfect Day Productions as they did my sisters wedding last year and I loved what they did. It depends on the package you want / what you’re looking for but ours is less than £1500. x
