Village Hall Wedding

Hey everyone!

I was just wondering, is there anyone out there who had/been to a Village Hall wedding?

I was just curious about how the day went, such as timings, food, photos etc? I'm looking for some inspiration for my own wedding!

    I went to one that had the sit-down reception in the village hall. The couple got married in the village church around 12 if I remember rightly, then had some photos outside the church and we walked through the village to the hall. Some more photos and then the meal around 2.30ish? They used a local caterer. We ended up wandering down to their cottage at the other end of the village about 6.30 for the evening do, which was a hog roast/bbq, but that was organised by a bunch of guests who lived in the village.

    It would be worth chatting to the caretaker/manager of the hall as they often have links to caterers etc who have worked there in the past.

    We considered doing a village hall reception for our wedding, and found some great mobile food vans...I particularly loved the pie & mash van, but was vetoed by my OH!!!
