Village Hall wedding

JayJayxox , 7 March, 2020 at 11:34 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi we are thinking of going down the diy wedding route and booking a village hall as our venue. We really love the shabby chic vibe. Not sure where to start with regards to finding the ideal venue.

Has anyone got any suggestions of ideal village halls in the Hertfordshire or surrounding areas? Be great to hear if you have used them and what your experiences were.

TIA

Best place to start would be to find local community pages in the area and post your requirements - most locals have strong opinions about the village halls in their area!

Or do an internet search. The halls that are regularly used for private bookings usually have their own web pages, and you can get a good feel for the venue via that. Bear in mind that if you are having your wedding during school term times, there are often regular events on, so that may limit what halls you are able to use. We would have loved to use our local village hall - it would have been perfect - but we're getting married mid term and it was booked every day!
