Remember that this is a formal occasion and that you'll be saying your vows in front of a lot of other people, so make it sincere but not slushy and while a touch of humour is fine, avoid too many in-jokes or comments that won't mean anything to your guests. Err on the side of caution when asking if something is too cheesy - remember, you can always write a second lot of vows to share in private if you want, but the public ones are better being fairly formal in my opinion.

    Thanks,
I have found some more inspiration that I think sums us up perfectly, I completely agree, I don’t want it too informal either, I think I’ve found the right balance 🥰

Writing your own vows is such a beautiful idea! 💍 A good way to start is by sharing a simple memory or the moment you realized your partner was “the one.” From there, let your words flow naturally—focus on promises that truly reflect your relationship. Don’t worry about being too cheesy; sincerity always shines through.

(And totally unrelated but I’ve been diving into some SAP Exam Questions lately, and the same rule applies there—start simple, focus on what matters, and build from the heart!)

When writing your vows, the best way to start is by speaking from the heart—think about a meaningful memory, a promise you truly want to keep, or the qualities you love most about your fiancé. Keep your tone authentic and personal, and don’t worry too much about sounding “cheesy,” because sincerity always shines through. You can also look at examples for inspiration, then tailor them to your unique relationship. For instance, just like preparing with practice resources from an RBT exam this link helps guide you step by step, reviewing vow-writing tips can give you the structure you need while still keeping it heartfelt and original.

Start with something genuine and simple—share what made you fall in love and what you admire most. Keep it personal and from the heart; it doesn’t need to be poetic to be meaningful. For more inspiration and examples, view details on writing heartfelt vows.

I totally understand that. I went through the same cycle — tons of enthusiasm at first, then burnout after a week. What helped me finally break that pattern was using a vocabulary learning app that turns the process into small, interactive sessions. It uses repetition and context, but in a way that doesn’t feel mechanical. I just spend a few minutes a day, and somehow the words stick. It’s great for staying consistent because it actually feels like progress instead of punishment. You should give it a try — it really changed my routine.
