This may be a silly question but first time getting married, how long does vows have to be I have an essay written, but just to make sure I don’t over do it or under do it

Our registrar has said to keep them fiarly short,75 to 125 words. They replace the promise section so once you have your registrar pack you will be able tonaee the examples and lengths. The point is to personalise it more but not turn it in to a long speech. You could always do a speech at the breakfast where you can say more
