Waiting for RSVP's

Aaw I get your impatience. I felt the same from our STD cards lol. Wanted people to at least acknowledge they had them lol but 4 days isn't very long, I'm sure you'll get responses soon. Did you put and RSVP by date on?

Well we sent ours out at the end of January and so far have had 3 RSVP's! Maybe I am too relaxed, we didn't put a date to reply by, as we are not having a package deal where numbers are that important, but still, I would have thought people might reply!

We sent ours so that they arrived on Friday 28th Jan and asked people to reply by the 28th Feb. We currently have 11 day guests who haven't replied and 23 evening guests who haven't replied either so I guess I'll be spending my weekend chasing people so that I can let the hotel know numbers and menu choices next week. Our wedding isn't until the 26th April so although we have lots of time I'm getting impatient as I need to sort seating plans and I hate pushing everything to the very last minute and our hotel wants day numbers and choices by 15th March!

I was wondering the same thing!! We sent ours last weekend, and I have no idea if people got them or not as have had no response. I dont expect people to call me up screaming how lovely the invites are, but they took me so long to put together I was hoping for a little excitement!!

We even included an RSVP card with menu options and envelope in our invites, so people have no excuse not to return them!!

Lol, it's hard to believe sometimes that other people aren't as excited about our wedding as we are isn't it. I'm sure they will start to arrive soon x

I sent my invitations out in November for our July wedding, and so far have had 4 official RSVPS out of 65 day guests :/ admittedly they're broken down into couples and families so I only need maybe 12-15 replies but STILL. As for evening guests, no one has responded. I asked people to let us know by the end of April.

family have all confirmed verbally which I can get on board with but friends haven't done/said a thing. I've been away from work for a year on maternity so I feel funny about chasing work colleagues now, and I'll be going back to work for the same company this month but with different people. Makes me wonder if I should have invited them at all!?!

I have to be honest, I've been carrying an RSVP round in my handbag for weeks - only put it in the post yesterday. It's what happens. Don't wait for them; a watched pot never boils ?

I sent mine out a month ago, I have had 8 back and 2 of them are from parents so they dont count ? haha

People have booked accomodation, so I assume they are still coming haha

I sent our invites out early Dec with end Jan RSVP date. We got most of them by very early new year and all of them before the end Jan. Didn't have to chase anyone!

We sent ours out in early January with an RSVP date for the end of February - we were very early but we needed to know what accommodation was needed. We heard back from most people quite quickly, but I think that was helped by the fact that bedrooms were limited and they all wanted to stay over. We're still waiting on a couple, but they have both replied verbally at least to book a room.

You sent them out very early - more than 8 months in advance, and with 6 months to reply in. Could people have maybe thought they were save the dates and not needed to reply?

I find people respond better with a tight deadline than if they're left months to forget it in. A friendly chasing phone call can't hurt.

I agree with you completely. There is a tendency in our family to send early invitations, and I always feel that it gives people the time to save lives. We all live so far apart it is a costly affair for guests. I DO regret not giving a much tighter deadline so as to be strict.

I saved money by not including RSVP cards and offering an email and a website option. It is my single biggest regret so far. :/

Im so impatient I dread to think what I'll be like with invites!!I'm the same as Pammy67, just sent our Save the dates out and really thought people would contact me to say they'd received it! My best friend text me and I know a few people have now looked on the website so I know most people must have them now. I keep wondering why more people haven't looked it commented on the website! As others have said you just want some acknowledgment they've got then! As someone else said though no one else will be as excited about our own weddings as us! Have you'd had any further replies/acknowledgement now it's been abit longer?

We sent our day invitations out in Nov with an rsvp by 31st Jan. Had all but one back by then with most back within 4 weeks.
Evening invitations went out 4 weeks ago with an rsvp by 8th March (tomorrow) and so far have had 6 replies out of about 70!!

Ditto! I'm not impressed...we need to give final numbers to venue in 2 weeks and we're still waiting for about 50 people to respond! Grrrrr!!
