Wódka Żołądkowa Gorzka, anyone know where to get this in the UK?

There are quite a lot of Polish shops cropping up in Bristol - I'd have thought it would be similar in many large towns so I guess it's a case of looking out for them (might be in Yellow Pages?). Actually, our local Asda has a whole section of Polish goods.

I bet Waitrose could order you some? Failing that I work with a Polish girl who is going home at Christmas and if you're stuck I could ask her to get you some?

I'd try your local Polish delicatessen to begin with. There must be at least one in Sheffield. There's one in my tiny hick town. If they don't have it, they'll know where to get it or even get it in for you.

I've found it online here but I suspect the postage might be expensive.

Have you tried Morrisons - I know my local one has a section with a load of Polish stuff.

If you have a Makro/Costco card or know someone who does, it might be worth a look - they usually have a pretty good range of spirits (esp Makro).

I do have a makro card, and they don't stock it, they don't even stock wisnowka

We have this at home, it's so lovely! It smells of christmas. I've not tried the mint one, sounds yummy!

A mate of mine imports polish beer and wine, I'll drop him a line and see if he knows. Might take a few days to get back if that's ok. He's single and it's the weekend iykwim.

Did you ever track this down, 'Roo? I've just found it in the Polish section of Asda at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. It was only a 500ml bottle and wasn't exactly cheap at £12.60 but worth trying your local Asda if you haven't found your own source yet. ?

I hope you're remembering to pronounce 'wódka' correctly...
