its Veligandu Island Resort and Spa (5star) in the Maldives.

We picked the honeymoon and time of the year before the wedding date!!

Full upgrades as much as we could - flights and airport lounge, champagne on flight, Jacuzzi water villa and fully inclusive whilst we are there!

Can not wait.

found the 1st photo on tripadvisor - its the best one I've seen of the resort from the air.. doesn't it look lush.!

We were looking at Cyprus, but he has recently agreed to Sri Lanka- this will be good, but I would love to go to Maldives for a totally chilled honeymoon- you will have a great time!

especially when the weather is like this I just want to go - but we fly out on the 6th Feb and chances are it will be cold here and 29 degrees there. We have also emailed the resort and asked for a sunset side villa and got a response from them yesterday to say that they will do their best to accommodate our request... I hope so.!

Great choice it was between Veligandu and Excellence in Mexico for us!!

We eventually chose Mexico as the weather would be better when we go (August) but Veligandu looked absoloutely amazing!!

I have heard that on trip advisor - but more people coming over because of double booking and then not wanting to leave - so it looks like a great place.

I wish I could pay a lower price and then get a transfer over and then stay that would have been good.

but we are happy with the resort.

Sarah - we choose where we wanted to go and the best time of the year before we booked the wedding so Maldives between Nov-March is the best time and Feb we decided on.

I can't wait. We also have done a honeymoon gift list and already have 1 x dive trip, 1 contribution to an a'la carte meal and 1 Robinson Crusoe island getaway for just us 2. I am still hoping for spa treatments.. lol but will be definatley booking some if noone contributes
