Website domain expiry

Alfie, 26 May, 2024 at 11:23 Posted on Feedback to Hitched 0 3

We have just paid for a custom website domain, only to then be told that it will expire in 12 months, which is before our actual wedding. Why were we not informed about this prior to paying, and is there any way in which we can extend the expiry date?

We've just done exactly the same thing. Did you get anywhere with this? Is it possible to renew the domain before it expires?

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s understandable to be concerned about the domain expiration timing, especially with such an important event like your wedding. Typically, domains are registered for one year, but you can easily extend it by purchasing an additional year or setting up multi-year registration. It’s always a good idea to double-check the terms before paying. If you're unsure, contacting the domain provider for clarification can help. On a related note, for anyone searching for meanings or translations, it’s important to ask clear questions, like “ what does acubi mean ” to get accurate answers.
