Wedding abroad, where to start?

Hello everyone,


I'm completely new to this site but have had countless good reviews about it.
My partner and I have been together for 5 years and at Christmas he unexpectedly popped the question. Of course, it was the easiest 'yes' ever.
When we have discussed our ideal wedding in the past (as we have both done the big wedding previously) we have both said we would like an intimate wedding abroad on a beach. I'll be 50 next year and hubby to be will be 45 so a classic, intimate beach ceremony is all we're after.
We have 4 children between us and therefore it would only be us and them (aged 11 to 23), so huge packages which accommodate loads of people is not necessary.
We are ideally thinking Cyprus at the moment but are both open to any location suggestions and any help or recommendations on where we even start would be so much greatly appreciated. No budget in mind but due to cost of living etc., we're happy to look at package deals or costing everything up separately.

    let me suggest two amazing spots in SICILY (ITALY).

    2) Pittalumari Makari Resort (San Vito Lo Capo). Pittalumari Makari resort is located in the heart of nature, with a stunning sea view. You won't need massive flower decorations since the venue is full of local wildlife, the food is all organic and cooked by local ladies and you and your guests can spend the week in their fantastic accommodations. It is an intimate, amazing way to celebrate love.

    They also provide symbolic rituals both in the garden and on the rocks!!

A good place to start might be reaching out to a wedding planner who specializes in destination weddings—they can help with legal requirements, venues, and all the little details.
