Wedding Bathroom Baskets

MrsEldridge, 4 June, 2012 at 16:51 Posted on Planning 0 20

Hello Ladies,

I am thinking about doing bathroom baskets for the ladies and men's toilet at my wedding. What useful bits do you think I should pop in them?

I think thats a great idea. It depends what sort of budget you've got for them, but i'd definitely recommend putting hair grips and safety pins in the girls ones for all the little hair and outfit mishaps. A small body spray can would probably go down well as well.

Great idea - I'd include a mini sewing kit for any outfit mishaps, and some plasters in case people are suffering with their shoes! Maybe also a box of nice tissues and some hand moisturiser, and some mints in a dish?

Some good ideas already, I would also think about a couple of cheap pairs of tights or some clear nail varnish for reparing ladders in tights, some tampons/towels, feminine wipes....erm..I'll keep thinking.

I just found this massive list and cute poems...... hmm what would be most usefull? I'm not spending a fortune on them but I know what its like wearing new shoes that give you blisters and having such a small bag that you cant get anything in.

    Bathroom baskets:
    Breath mints and gum
    Plasters
    Antacids like Tums
    Safety pins
Paracetamol - NOT IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN ATTENDING
    Pocket-packs of tissues
    Stain-remover wipes
    Deodorant in aerosol can
Contact lens solution / Eye refresher spray
    Facial wipes

    Nail files/ Emery boards
    Small sewing kit (with scissors)
    Lint brush
    Hand lotion
    Combs

    Tooth picks

    Additionally, in the ladies' basket:
    Hair spray
    Hair grips
    Hair bands
    Tampons
    Body spray
    Facial blotting paper

    Poem #1
Here is a basket for all of our guests,
To make sure everyone feels their best!
The hairspray will help hold your hair in place,
The bobby pins to keep your hair out of your face.
If you break a nail, don’t worry! There’s a file and some glue,
It can also fix a broken heel on a shoe!
The polish will stop that darn run in your hose,
Use the tissues to stop a runny nose!
We hope that you’ll find what you’re looking for.
Take a mint and now go hit the dance floor!

    Poem #2
So happy you’re here to share in our special day!!!
But should something happen to go astray,
Please help yourself to the contents within,
Hair spray (or Wet wipe), hand lotion, gum and even aspirin,
Use only what you need and leave the rest,
It may be useful to another guest.
So repair the damage that may have been done,
Then hurry on back and join the fun!!!
    Compliments of the Newlyweds

    Poem #3
    Compliments of the newlyweds,
To help you feel your best!
    Just use a little...freshen up,
    And leave for other guests!

    Poem #4
If your skin feels dry, your hair out of place,
Your throat is parched, or whatever the case.
We've put this together to help you along,
Now get yourself out there before the next song

Googling for lists and this popped up! (Google works better than Hitched's own search!) Thought I would bump for others, is anyone else thinking of doing this?

I was thinking of doing this, but have had quite mixed reports, so it's kind of gone to bottom of my list, and will probably be a case of if I have time to sort it, I will. I had planned on maybe putting spray deodorant, body spray and mouth wash in the mens, and maybe same for ladies plus plasters? Only keeping it simple.

I did a small basket for the ladies. Hand cream, hairspray, combs, nail files, lint roller, spare tights, mints. All things I got from home bargains or Poundland. To be honest they didn't got used much but I got nice comments about them. I wouldn't spend much time or money on them but they were nice to have. X

I really love this idea! The poems are so cute too, such a good idea to be able to explain it to everyone!

I think it is definitely something that can be done for a relatively cheap cost too Smiley smile I am thinking to use the boxes from my Glossybox subscription as the baskets - I will just glam them up a bit first. I can't wait to start being able to sort all the fun little bits like this out!

We'll be putting one in the gents too, not 100% sure what to put in that one though. Girls are much easier!

A bedroom should feel like a personal retreat, shaped by comfort and simple style. The right furniture arrangement, soft bedding, and subtle lighting can transform it into a restful space. Color choice also plays a strong role; for example, a mint green paint bedroom can create a calming and balanced atmosphere, perfect for winding down after a long day. Adding natural elements such as plants, along with layered textures like cotton throws or woven rugs, enhances the sense of warmth and tranquility in the room.

Finding a reliable plumber can be tough, but honest plumber reviews make the process easier. These reviews share real experiences from customers who’ve hired plumbing professionals, helping you assess reliability, pricing, and service quality. Reading multiple reviews allows you to compare different experts and spot consistent patterns of trustworthiness or poor performance. By relying on genuine feedback, you can confidently choose a plumber who delivers efficient, affordable, and lasting solutions for all your plumbing needs.

Bathroom baskets are such a thoughtful wedding touch, because guests always appreciate little comforts when they’re away from home and dressed up for hours. I’ve been browsing https://www.airenergie.it/en/ lately — it’s a company that specialises specifically in bathroom installation and renovation, so it really highlights how much planning goes into making bathrooms comfortable and functional for different needs, whether for everyday living or hosting. What I’ve picked up from looking at professional bathroom services is that people always value practical items over decorative ones: things that help with temperature, comfort and small emergencies. For a wedding bathroom basket that actually gets used, think essentials like deodorant wipes, safety pins, hair ties, stain remover pens, blister plasters, mints, sewing kits and sanitary products — anything that keeps guests feeling fresh and confident so they can enjoy the celebration without stress.
