Wedding breakfast

Hannah, 26 October, 2023 at 14:48 Posted on Planning 0 3
Is it too untraditional to not have a 3 course wedding breakfast? Have something a little more rustic…

I know personally we never like a 3 course meal at a wedding and would prefer something easier?

Certainly, it's your wedding and you should feel comfortable with the arrangements. A three-course meal isn't a prerequisite for a memorable event. Many couples are now opting for more relaxed and rustic dining options that better reflect their personal tastes and styles. This can also create a more intimate, communal atmosphere. Remember, the important thing is to ensure that you and your guests enjoy the day. The choice of meal should support the overall experience, not dictate it.

We've a wedding breakfast of 'Hog Roast' which is pulled pork on baps (2 per person). I should of asked more detail at the booking stage as potatoes, salad, pasta, coleslaw etc is not included. Thats an extra £11p/p. But it is rustic and not faffy which is what we wanted. We have a tapas type grazing table for the evening food.

You can have whatever you like! Personally, I find most wedding breakfast menus way too fancy and would prefer something a little more down to earth. Just make sure you have enough (I've never forgotten the wedding which had a self-serve buffet and the first few tables to go up grabbed all the food...) and can cater for dietary requirements and you'll be fine.
