Wedding Breakfast starters???

So I'm finding it really difficult to choose a starter for our day. We are having a sit down wedding breakfast with the main as roast beef (maybe a bit boring but it's both mine, my partners and lots of our family's favorite). We are trying to find a starter that is light and tasty but also not overly adventurous. What starters are you guys having and do you have any suggestions?

    The nicest starter at a wedding I had was a Cesar salad, light and inoffensive but very tasty if done right.

    We had Cesar salad with bacon and smoked chicken for our starter, it went down really well. It was tasty and light Smiley smile

    As a expert consumer of wedding food (!!) my favourite starters are simple ones like soup, prawn cocktail or melon fan thingy. I had fishcake starters at a wedding recently and they were very nice.
