Wedding capes

Zoe, 24 September, 2022 at 08:27 Posted on Wedding Attire 0 3
Hi brides!!
I don’t want a veil, but my dress is strapless and I’m thinking I’d like something light to go over my shoulders… I’ve just discovered wedding capes are a thing… who’s worn/getting one?? Short or long? Plain or pattern?? Looking for inspiration! Xx

    Hey!

2023 bride here, I went wedding dress shopping the other day and the cape idea is absolutely beautiful! They look magnificent and absolutely stunning. My dress has a cape it attaches at the shoulders and matches the train and dress details.

I’ve just gone for a cape! It’s from Wed2b you can see it on the site, it attatches at the front with a popper but they did say seamstresses could alter it to fit on the dress diferent ways , I’ve never seen a cape before but instantly fell in love
I suppose with how long it is it could also be altered to be shorter if you wanted Smiley smileWedding capes 1

A friend of a friend recently got married and had “wings” attached to her dress. Think a bit like a fine veil but one on each of her shoulder straps. Not my personal taste but very pretty if that’s the kind of thing you are after
