We're planning a destination in Spain and have found a venue and possible catering. I'm generally a pretty organised person and, with the help of my future brother in law and husband (both live in Spain and speak Spanish), I think we can organise the rest. However, I'm wondering if it's with hiring a wedding day coordinator? Someone who can deal with any issues which may arise, ensure everying runs to time and smoothly so we and the wedding party can enjoy ourselves.
My mother suggested tasking immediate family members with things to do and possible compile a little booklet or post the itinerary on a wedding app/website.
The cost of a day planner can range from 900/1k which could be spent on something else. What's people's experience with day coordinators? Worth it? Especially those planning destination weddings without assistance.
