Wedding dj costings

We paid £895 in Surrey for the following: DJ booth with lights, room up lighting, LOVE light up letters plus oval photo booth with unlimited prints, guest book and photos on USB. From 7-12 midnight with three members of staff. Here’s a pic.

I have seen many dj's, and some may be better at their craft and filling the dance floor than others but what I have noticed is the difference in the amount of lighting that they bring as a basic without any extras. For my evening dance floor action shots I like a lot of colour but with some DJs it can be a struggle to get the kind of atmosphere I am looking for my shots because they hardy have any lights.

IMO uplighting is a good option if they are offering it as an add on, especially in a marquee with lots of light coloured fabric to bounce off

Our venue has an “in house DJ” as part of the package so we will be using them. I looked at their breakdown of costs for non-package weddings and adding the DJ on was £495 x
