Wedding dress

Hi, I hope someone can answer my question. I have paid a small amount towards my wedding dress but I was told this dress is to be discontinued my issue is the bridal shop only gave me 1 appointment which didn’t suit and now aren’t replying to me, I have emailed, rang to no answer and messaged them. So what can I do? I also have proof of payment.

    Did you pay a deposit without seeing/trying on the dress? Was it the bridal shop that told you it’s discontinued? They may have been able to order one before it’s discontinued. Or they may be under the impression you are buying the stock dress, if they have one. Keep ringing them. If they have taken payment for something that they will be unable to provide they will have to issue a refund

    I have tried on the dress. No it’s not off the rail as I asked for one off rail and they said no. Also they haven’t ordered as I need measurements taken. I have asked if we could wait a couple more months due to my wedding being in 2023 and they said no my dress will be discontinued in the next couple of weeks. I have been trying to call for the past 2 weeks and they aren’t messaging or emailing back.

    It’s unusual for them not to take measurements at the time of you paying your deposit, so they can order straight away. Do you live near enough the shop that you can just turn up and sort it face to face? Ultimately, if they cannot provide the dress ordered they have to refund the deposit paid.

    Yes I do but due to COVID-19 they are only taken appointments.
