Wedding dress

Anyone had to have the length took up on there dress what price am i looking at round about it needs about 2inch taking off

    It depends on the area you live in and how complex the dress is. The best thing to do is to ask around locally. In my experience, it's usually cheaper to get the alterations done by a seamstress who is not linked to a wedding boutique. I was quoted £60 for shortening my dress at the boutique, but £34 for shortening AND putting a new zip in by my local sewing shop.

    The shop i got the dress from has quoted £100 im gonna ring a couple of seamstress to see what price they give x

    That’s seems a high price for just shortening - I picked up my dress last week and they have taken the shoulders up, added a belt, taken three inches off the body, moved the poppers for the necklace at the back. It didn’t need shortening as I have chosen tea length. I paid £160. She was the seamstress recommended by the shop actually. Wedding dress 1

    I thought that was a lot to pay aswell im gonna ring round im assuming it because it has about 6 layers in the skirt ur dress looks lovely btw x

    I did this way. I was lucky to find a great dress on the princessly site with a big discount. It turned out that it needed about an inch to take off. Having looked for the local sewing shop (I didn't even think about visiting a wedding boutique for this purpose), I found a good place, and the work was done at a high level and at an affordable price.
