I didn't have the same feeling. I'm just happy that I fit into my dress and didn't feel like too massive. I originally bought a dress which was 2 sizes smaller hoping that I would slim down to fit into it. I then realised as the wedding approached that it wasn't going to happen so I bought a dress which was just ever slightly smaller than I needed. I managed to lose a stone and am battling to keep off the weight so that it will fit in July! But I do feel beautiful and like a bride in the dress. Can't wait to see the whole look with hair and makeup.

I'm so glad to hear this and thank you for sharing such a lovely post. I felt exactly the same when I found my dress, and it was nothing like the style I thought I would want! I have had my first fitting now and it was great to see it again. Only my Mum has seen it and it will be a bit of a surprise to me how it looks with the whole lot (make up, hair, jewellery etc). So excited to walk down the aisle in it and see FH's face!

When I found my dress is was more just relief I felt that there was something out there I loved. I tried on a lot of dresses and styles, in quite a short space of time, and I was toying with 1 dress that I knew a lot of people would expect to be my style, but I saw this one other dress - it was so different than what I was thinking - and put it on and just knew. It was 3-4 sizes too big, but I still knew.
When I picked it up 8 months later, now in my actual size, I put it on, and did finally have my bridal moment, it was perfect, nothing like my original Pinterest board, it’s now at the seamstress for its final alterations and I can’t wait to wear it for the wedding in July!
