Wedding Dress Alterations Help in Warwickshire!

Hi,

I've bought a dress from a shop in Banbury. I'd like to get it altered closer to home in Warwickshire as i live near Stratford Upon Avon. Can anyone recommend a good seamstress? Is it ok to buy a dress from a bridal shop and not get it altered there?

Any help or advice is welcome!

Hi Claire, there shouldn't be a problem at all with getting your dress altered somewhere other than where you bought it. We do a lot of alterations for brides who, for one reason or another, do not want their dress altered by the shop they bought it from. I would suggest trying to get fittings arranged sooner rather than later as it is peak wedding season so any good seamstress anywhere would be incredibly busy at the moment.

Hi,

i live in Stratford too!

I bought my dress from Occasions by Design (between Alcester and Stratford) and they have a lovely seamstress. She works in the shop with the owner so she might be able to help.
