Wedding dress alterations while living abroad

I live in Singapore, but will be choosing a wedding dress when home in the UK this summer. I don't come back to the UK until June 2025 (a month before my wedding) and plan on dropping a dress size before then. Shall I take my dress back to Singapore with the me for alterations in the meantime, or will one month before the wedding be enough time? Sorry if it's a silly question. Don't know anyone whose had to plan a wedding while living abroad and logistics are sometimes tricky

Hi! I live abroad too and planning a wedding in the UK for next year. Also I will try to drop a few sizes too…. But as we don’t know what will happen in a year just buy a dress that fits you as you are and take it home to Singapore. A few months before the wedding, around 3 to 4 months before take your dress to the seamstress for final fitting as it could take the seamstress at least a month or so to to the job. Also do your research now and find a seamstress and talk to her about timing.
