Wedding Dress Different in Photos

Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone has experienced the same dilemna. Went trying on wedding dresses yesterday, found one that was super flattering, highlighted my figure and absolutely loved. Was almost ready to say yes but wanted to go back with my mother. After the appointment I looked at the photos and it looked like a completely different dress, it didn't look like anything like it did in person. When I looked at it all I could see was the stomach, which was highlighted in the photos. Feeling very disheartened by it all, wondering if should start from scratch or go back with spanx to see if that will make a difference to it in photos. Did anyone else ever experience something similar?

    Hi Amanda,

    It happens. I tried on about half a dozen dresses and took pictures each time to make sure that it looked good in the photos as it did in real life. However, you've got to take into account the photo angles as well. Sometimes you can look worse at certain angles. Don't fret too much as you've plenty of time yet. Keep looking for more dresses and have photos taken each time to ensure you like the look. You could try on the shapewear underwear as well to see if it gives you flat tummy. Take into account comfort too.

    This happened to me and I actually changed my dress (I still haven’t sold the first one I bought). I am now having doubts about my second dress as I probably shouldn’t have changed my mind based on the photos. I get married in 6 weeks time so I am too late to change my mind again now as my second dress is being altered as we speak and I paid a lot for it. The point is I looked at photos of the first dress I chose which I loved in the shop, changed my mind and now look back and regret changing my mind. You won’t look like the photos on the day. Stick with your first decision, you will look amazing xxx
