Wedding dress fittings

Ana, 26 September, 2020 at 19:31 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi, everyone. I just recently got engaged in August and my fiance and I are extremely excited about our wedding. We have already booked our venue, DJ and photographer. The wedding is in 27th March 2022 with 44 guests, mostly family.

I would like to know if I am planning too much too soon and I also would like to know how soon before the wedding should I start wedding dress shopping? I am fully open to more tips and ideas to help me organize our special day! ?Xxx

I’m also having a 2022 wedding but August. Are finalising venue and guest list now, comes with DJ and we know who we want as photographer and are just in discussions about logistics and price.

I’m dying to get started and feel like I’m getting organised. I’ve also had the thought about dress shopping but not sure when to start. Was planning to go just to get an idea if styles that suit me but now with restrictions not sure whether to go this side of Xmas. Thinking will start looking seriously in the spring for styles with an aim of deciding by the end of the year, order then time for tailoring if needed. Don’t know if bit soon though!

It sounds like you've been very organised and that's definitely not a bad thing!

My wedding is in March 2021, and I'd booked all the big stuff (venue, catering, photographer, etc.) by last November (engaged in September) so pretty far in advance. I went wedding dress shopping on Feb 1st and ended up finding the one on the first trip. There's no harm in trying some things on for ideas, and at least you'll give yourself plenty of time!

The only thing to consider is new collections will come in every season and also you might have a less covid impacted experience if you hold off for a little bit.
