Wedding dress shop closing

Sounds a bit fishy to me personally. Would they of contacted you to let you know they were shutting and you needed to pick up the dress if you hadn’t of got in contact?!?
Seems very quick as the 1st is next week. That’s not much notice.

If you paid by credit card I’m sure there’s something you can do (can’t remember the name) think it’s a chargeback as they have failed to deliver the goods paid for.
If they are making the dress or ordering one in then altering it to your measurements then they can’t resell it, so normally it’s a final sale. If it hasn’t been altered and is one they have just ordered in then surely they could do a refund as that dress is still sellable to others. The situation could be different due to the shop closing though. I’d definitely ring citizens advice and get their view.
