Wedding dress to cover scar

There are quite a few dresses out there with lovely back details, perhaps your best bet would be to book some appointments at some dress shops, explain to the salesperson what you're looking for and they can advise you on any dresses they have with covered backs? Either that or you can add a lace bolero type thing to a strapless dress?

You could get a strapless dress but then have a bolero or jacket to go over the top of it. Or get a boat neck type dress.

Or maybe get one made?

This dress is gorgeous, apologies if the detail isn't wide enough. Might be an option without feeling too covered up.

Wow knew I could count on hitched! The two links are both gorgeous! Kirstabubble thanks for asking yes the op went well 8 hours and a week in hospital plus 3months off work but I am now back to work full time. So excited to start planning properly. Have been lurking as thought he would ask me sooner! I did think of a bolero but may be too warm later on. The rods in my back seem to make me feel a lot warmer than I used to! Any more suggestion are welcome. The one thing is I don't want to,spend too much but the ideas so far are fantastic.
