Wedding dresses under £500

I bought my wedding dress as an ex rental for £80 when I got married years ago. It was a lovely dress but i too didn’t want to spend a fortune on a dress. As it happens I got an absolute bargain!

I looked for second-hand but didn't have any luck, as I found that most of the second-hand dresses were still over my budget (I guess people maybe don't bother selling on the cheaper dresses?). I mail-ordered a few so I could try them on at home and return them if they didn't work. The other alternative is that a few high street places still sell wedding dresses for that kind of price range.

I tried about 5 on for under £500 at a boutique in Bristol, but I've just checked their website and sadly they had a revamp last month and now prices are starting from £900!!! Such a shame as there are very few places around that have a budget section. If it's not too far for you, you could try Do You Believe? in Newport - they also had a number under £500 when I was looking, and I notice that they have quite a few in their sale in that price range even now - might be worth ringing them with your approx dress size as they should be able to tell you if they have enough to make it worth a journey.
