Traditionally is one per person, we sre doing hand made wax melts so we are doing a set per family/couple group so cuts it down a bit. Or you could just have a load of sweets on each table and not do individual ones, us really up to you, can help to cut costs if you don't do them and don't think people will be too bothered if there are none

Agreed, so many of the traditions are not relevant anymore and as costs are so high nowadays I don't think anyone will be bothered. Is a small token to say thank you, doesn't have to be a grand gesture. You can get Love Hearts made with the date and your names on which is a cute little token I think on the table and is cheap

I think it depends what it is, with some things a lot of people wont take them so you could do about 50/60. We are doing little bottles of alcohol, we are sure 90% will drink them so have to do one for every guest

I think the love hearts are a great idea to do for everyone. But I’m not sure about the bottle openers, I would appreciate a favour like that and use it all the time cracking open a koppaberg. But I know 40% of my guest would leave it behind or take it and throw it in a drawer never to seen again. So it also depends on your guests.

Its a tricky one, thats why we went for alcohol or we wouldn't have given any favours at all. It was hard for us finding something we thought was cool that we thought everyone else would like too

A note for others if thinking about little bottles of booze is that some venues would like to charge you a "corkage fee" on them.

Yes it should be one favour per person unless you can come up with an idea that would get away with 1 per couple.

If you want to go back just a few years then traditionally it is 5 sugared almonds - cheap as - well sugared almonds really.

It was sugared almonds for years and I really don't know where the favours arms race started.

Having said that, no one will notice if you do not have any.

At the beginning when anything was possibly I had so many ideas, all hand-made 🙄 absolutely no chance now we're in a bit and money has been spent and spoken for. I live the idea of love hearts and will be doing plenty for children, but hopefully the experience will be enough for everyone like it will be for us. Memories and photos. Though I did go to a wedding s couple of years ago where they gave out little packets of english wild flower seeds. They r easy to pop in a bag or pockets to take home, last years and you can still use them and they r just a lovely thing for the environment as well. I don't think it was too costly either.
