If you’re certain you want to do favours, make sure they are relevant to you/your wedding and not just bits for the sake of it.

We got married the week before Easter so gave everyone an organza bag of mini eggs. They were perfect (and also very easy to get alternatives for our vegan guests).

I can see you’re an April bride too, so perhaps something similar? Or you could do something flower-related for Spring (like seeds - bit of a cliche these days but if it works it works) or even a freshly cut daffodil at each place setting.

Seeing as it’s the right time of year now, maybe go for a visit to some craft stores or garden centres to see what kind of things they have at the minute - you might find something you never would have thought of!

Thank so much for getting back to me Sarah I really like the idea of keeping in with the spring time theme and I think the seeds would be a good idea.

There are lots of places on Etsy that do seed-related wedding favours. Also quite a few charities do them too, so if there’s a charity that means something to you then you could get them from there.

I actually hired a live painter, she will paint all the guests and it's got our wedding date stamped on the bottom. It's personal and something you don't see.

We’re going for scratch cards - in little envelopes that say “for richer, for poorer”, we wanted something fun and a great chance for people to win! Hope you find something good Smiley smile cx

We are doing seeds as other half is a gardener so tied in nicely. I found some favour bag for seeds in Hobby craft with ‘let love grow’ on them for not a lot of money and then went to wilkos and brought 2 boxes of seed for £3 each. Favours have cost about £10 in total. Didn’t want to spend to much as aware not everyone will take them but we also have a sweet table so our guests can also take them with them.

My friends did a sweetie bar at their wedding instead of 'favours'- so we are hoping to get a charity that does sweetie favours for weddings to provide the sweets, and we'll get the paper bags and some jars on freecycle to put them in so our evening guests get to have things.

My friend used to be a wedding planner and told us not to bother 'creating' favours as often they get left or end up in the bin.

We will be doing ‘his favourite’ and ‘her favourite’ and it will be a small bag (decanted) of mine and my partners favourite sweets for the guests. Something they will like and actually use!

I’m planning on doing little Molton brown bottles (I work for them) and mr&mrs sweets (from Etsy) I’m getting married next July so starting to get my ideas together! I’ve bought bride and groom favour boxes (off Amazon) to put my favours in. I’m also having British Heart Foundation name cards and pin badges and their guest book x
