Wedding Favours

SunnyYellowConfetti272, 15 January, 2015 at 21:57 Posted on Planning 0 18

Hi can I get people's opinions on how much you should expect to pay for wedding favours for guests?

Thanks in advance Smiley smile

I think the amount is entirely down to what you can afford and want to pay.

I chose my favours before looking into costing and they were looking to be around £110-£130 for 60 favours. I then researched it myself and got the price down to £40. I'm having exactly the same as what I orginally wanted, but I've sourced it from various different websites and put them together myself.

You don't even need favours if you want to save some money.

    xx

We're having cake pops as our lot love something to eat and they will not be left behind! The gannets will go minesweeping. Cost £1 each Smiley smile I think that's enough for a favour. It only needs to be something small. Lottery tickets were a good choice until they put them up.

I'm not planning on spending a lot on our favours Smiley smile

I got some lovely little silver organza bags with butterflys on (50 for £3) and will put 5 Lindt chocolates in each one
Total cost works out about £35/£40 (depending if I get the chocolates on special offer!)

I spent approximately £40 on my favours for 94 guests with left overs. I made them myself and it is also going to be their place setting so they know where to sit. So i won't have to spend anything for place settings now. Smiley smile

I decided not to go with Wedding favours. I couldn't think of anything that people wouldn't leave behind/wasn't massively expensive. We're going to have a sweet table, so if anyone asks I'll just say that's the favours!

We are having Krispy Kreme doughnuts for our favours. its roughly £1.50 per favour.

Each doughnut is individually wrapped in a little Krispy Kreme Box. We chose these because my OH and I went to krispy kreme for our first date( cheap date I know!)

Its somehting that is special to us but fun for people to enjoy!?

We are having hip flasks for the men and beautiful wine stoppers for the ladies. Cost about £100 for 36 daytime guests.

We're doing charity pin badges that will be attached to the placecards.

Even if they get left behind, the charity will still benefit from our donation.

We budgeted $10/person for favours. We've found a local candlemaker who makes lovely beach scented candles - so we'll give those away.

We've spent quite a lot. But I wanted to Smiley smile our guests are getting some awesome things! I think about £4-5 per person. (50 guests)

So far; we've ordered biscuits from Ice My Biscuit, personalised M&Ms, and sunglasses!

How long is a piece of string. And by that I mean that they can cost as much or little as you want.

Mine were approx £1.50 each (miniatures) but I've known people spend as little as 50p per favour (sweets).

If you're not having a sit down meal then you could just do a favour table with a sign inviting people to take a favour.

We are having glass jars filled with sugared almonds. About £1.50 per person.

You spend however much you can afford!

We are making a mix tape and burning them on cd's which we have bought stickers to make them look like mini vinyl records, We thought it was apt as we met a gig and all our tables are named after the bands we have seen. The music we have chosen will catalogue our relationship so far, including songs we are having played in the wedding. Altogether it has cost us 30 for 70 guests.

I was going to say this, I've seen things like people using small crates or a table just saying "Please take one" Smiley smile

I'm hoping to do a sweet table and give a small organza 'sack' bag or something similar to the day guests and then have paper bags and stickers for evening guests / those who want more. Might even skip the organza bags but I love these: http://www.confetti.co.uk/shop/product/mini-linen-drawstring-pouch-with-vintage-infused-love-print
