I'd put in candles and rose petals, or even better, try and get the hotel to light/scatter the above.

ETA: I'd have appeciated massage oil (for my poor feet) and a "do not disturb" sign too.

And strawberries, or even better Choccy covered strawberries were a real treat on honeymoon - the staff left them plated on our pillow.

What about two eye mask thingys, you know the type you can wear if you're trying to sleep on a plane? If the room lets in light in the morning, they might be useful and if not, they can take them on their honeymoon or next plane journey. You could even stick Mr and Mrs on them in diamantee.
