I'm getting married at The Ashes too! Their website is alright, but a lot of their hair and makeup suppliers don't have websites, just facebook pages etc. You should have a look at The Ashes facebook page as they have a discussions section which has a couple of makeup and hair threads. I'm going with Emma Shackleton who seems pretty good, but have heard of others using either contour or the retreat. Hope that's useful, let me know if u need more ashes help/advice

Thanks so much for your advice, I had 'liked' Emma Shackleton on facebook without even realising! The Retreat also looks good, I really want someone to come out to me (i'm lazy and think I will be stressing with other things on the morning of our wedding!) so will get in touch with them and Emma.

When do you get married? The Ashes is such a beautiful place, very English and just what we wanted! The staff so far have been great and really helpful, especially with us being so far away! I hope you have a fabulous day and its everything you hoped for

The Ashes is lovely, such a beautiful venue. Have you had the chance to visit it much/at all? The staff are brilliant, very helpful and informative! We live down in Kent, so while the distance isn't quite in the same vein as Australia, they've been great helping us plan it from a distance away.

Let me know if there's any other suppliers you need help with deciding on. We went to see a few various ones before we settled on the ones we did
