Wedding heels.... help!

April21Bride, 22 December, 2020 at 20:35 Posted on Planning 0 12
It’s rather intrusive I know but how much are people planning on spending on their wedding heels?
I’ve seen two pairs that I love and want to wear them both (3.5 inch Harriet Wilde and 4 inch Charlotte mills block heels) - combined they’ll cost £550. My question is, is that too much?
I can afford it and know I’ll definitely wear them again but I’m conflicted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I think if you feel you can afford it then go for it - especially if you know you will wear them again! I have never ever had 'designer' shoes before but I have bought a pair of Sophia Webster's for our wedding that cost me £450. I had been lusting over them for ages, and I put them on at least once a week just to look at them. Can't wait to wear them and don't regret the decision for one second!

I’ve been coveting the Chiara - Sophie Webster but wasn’t confident I’d be able to stay in them all day. Lucky you!!

That’s lovely to hear, I’m so excited about all the shoes but recognise I can only wear so many pairs ?

I plan on spending 50 pounds max on shoes for ceremony and another 60ish on customised converse for after .... but then I dont think I would ever spent 500 on shoes for any reason. But if you can afford it and are into smart shoes then why not? Everyone has things that they are willing to spent more on(for us it was band and photographer)... and if its the shoes for you then go for it

I got my Charlotte Mills shoes in the sale for just over £200. Obviously I love them, but aside from that were a few factors which meant I went for pricier shoes than planned:
    1. I need wide fit shoes (with a high block heel) and the selection is quite limited
    2. Charlotte Mills is local to where my dad’s family are from. 3. My wedding dress supplies came in under budget. 4. My mum offered to pay.

I did try rainbow club - bought the Nelly and another pair but they were both uncomfortable ?. Think I’ll end up paying more just for the sake of my foot comfort.
Will also keep eyes out during January as thanks to tier 4 I’m yet to try on my dress.

Luckily I managed to order my dress before November lockdown so once we are out of tier 4 I’ll be able to try on my dress. Am so excited- who knows I might even have my wedding shoes to try on as well.

I really wanted louboutins but know I will not be able to walk in them so can’t justify the £500 cost. I’ve just bought a pair of irregular choice shoes (I love the brand anyway) from their wedding collection should have been £100, paid £80 in sales Smiley smile

I’ve bought a gorgeous pair of Harriet Wilde’s after a virtual appointment- they should arrive early next week. Something nice to get me through tier 4 and stressing about my wedding date/hoping London goes <tier 2 @least one month in advance of my wedding day??

I went for the Chiara 85's instead of the 100's as I thought I would be able to last much longer in them!

How exciting that you have bought your shoes! I have my fingers crossed for you that everything can go ahead as you planned xx
