Yup I got wedding insurance before I started paying any deposits etc with vendors. I was booking 2 years in advance and so there was a chance that someone might go bust (fingers crossed they won't!). My insurance comes from Debenhams and was around £100 I think.

Yes, we do. We have it through John Lewis. We needed public liability for our ceremony venue. It cost around £80 and gives good piece of mind xx

We got our insurance through John Lewis too and made sure we took it out before paying any deposits with anyone. Just gives piece of mind!

I used this company, they have a few different levels of cover.

Once our budget started adding up, I felt more comfortable having some kind of insurance in place and ours was only £36.15. I know a lot of people choose Debenhams or John Lewis because they're more well known, but they were quite expensive. WeddingPlan were more affordable but they are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and have good reviews so I felt happy to go with them.

I went through http://www.my-weddinginsurance.co.uk/ after doing a comparison through some of the cheaper ones, but then I went for the middle one Sapphire which was £38.81. I called them first and checked they covered every kind of cancellation etc and was quite happy. It covers for 2 years or the evening of the wedding night.

I will admit I didn't look too hard at the Debenhams and John Lewis ones as they were a bit pricey for me but I'm sure they are very good too.

Some things come with insurance such as suit hire. My local shop says their suits come with insurance such as stains and marks, but if the suits get ripped then thats what our insurance will cover. Thought that was interesting. This is mine:

We got ours with Debenhams. I had a discount voucher as I went to a wedding fair they exhibited at. Seems like a good deal anyway.

I've taken out a policy with Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance - it cost £37 but as I went through TopCashback I got £7.57 back!

There are various levels of cover depending on how much you are spending on your wedding. I found that the gold cover was sufficient for our needs.

As others have said, it just gives you that extra peace of mind.

We had to get insurance as we needed the public liability, and we paid extra for ceremonial sword cover.

We got ours through Debenhams, I think it was about £80? We got a £10 voucher back.

I did some comparison website and they were the cheapest which gave the cover we wanted. We've both pretty anxious so wanted a lot of coverage.

We got ours with Debenhams as they offer £50,000 cover with £50,000 for rearrangements... I know it's crazy but the thought of being ablest choose everything again for free is quite exciting Didn't think it was too expensive for the comfort it gave us. Feels nice knowing that everything will be OK whatever happens!!! ?
